The battle of Los Angeles has been won by the Los Angeles Lakers almost since the inception of the franchise. Despite all efforts, the Clippers simply cannot get past them. But this year things are different. LeBron James and the Lakers are struggling while the Clippers are looking better.

Currently, the two teams are fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. The playoff push for the Los Angeles Clippers has suddenly received a huge boost. According to sources, their main man, Paul George, is looking good and will return soon.

Paul George to return soon. Bad news for LeBron James?

Despite their injury problems all season, the Clippers have coped quite well. The injury to Paul George and Kawhi Leonard meant losing out on two of their most important players. Despite all that, the Clippers have somehow managed to stay in the playoff race.

The 37-year-old NBA veteran has been key to the Lakers still being in the playoffs race. He averages 29.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists this season. Moreover, the 4 time NBA champion is coming off a successful All-Star weekend where his team emerged victoriously.

The news of Paul George returning is surely going to excite the Clippers fanbase as his return brings in more chances of them making it to the playoffs. George averages 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists this season.

On the other hand, Kawhi Leonard is also showing good results. In the latest training session, he emerged without a brace on his right knee which has undergone surgery.
