Lakers Star Anthony Davis Shares Frustrated “Mood” Story Ahead Of Much Awaited Possible Return vs Heat

Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers are not having the best of seasons. The Lakers are currently in the seventh spot with a .500 record and are playing some mediocre basketball. Anthony Davis has not looked like himself and he has had one of the most disappointing outings for the Lakers.

Davis is currently out because of an MCL sprain and he has missed the last 16 games. The Lakers have sorely missed AD as they have gone 7-9 during this stretch. He is expected to make his return against the Miami Heat on Sunday. The Lakers have missed Davis’ scoring and defensive presence. They had switched to a micro ball strategy with LeBron James playing at Center. It looked like worked initially, but they have been exposed in the last few games.

Davis will be raring to get back to action as there is a lot of chatter going on in his absence. He shared a story on Instagram before his impending return.

The story sees a clip of a man reciting motivational dialogues passionately as he gets into his zone and AD captioned the word ‘Mood’ with two emojis of an angry/frustrated face.

Looking at his story, it seems Davis has heard everything that has been going on. He shared a frustrated mood emoji, which could be a shot at his critics at his critics.

Anthony Davis will look to get back to being AD

Everyone expected Davis to take the next step in his game after his first championship win. However, he suffered various injuries last year as the Lakers were bounced out in the first round.

With LeBron in his 19th year and Russell Westbrook nearing the end of his prime, AD was expected to be the man. However, his play has been rather disappointing. He doesn’t seem as confident at finishing at the rim anymore. His unstoppable mid-range game seems to have left him. He has been shooting a career-low 17.9% from three. Even though he’s been averaging 23.3 points per game, it seems like he’s not the same player he was.

However, it would be unwise to doubt Anthony Davis. On his best days, Davis looks like the best player in the league. When his midrange game gets going, there is no player in the league who can keep up with him. His defensive tenacity and wingspan make him one of the best defenders in the league. He is one of the most feared shot-blockers in the league.

AD and the Lakers will look to get back on track against the Heat. LeBron James has been playing spectacularly, and he will be delighted to see AD come back.
