Lakers vs Rockets News: Anthony Davis Opens up on the Return of DeMarcus Cousins

LA Lakers had an odd reunion last season. They saw three former New Orleans Pelicans stars in Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, and Rajon Rondo on their team. As AD and Rondo went on to become champions, Boogie failed to break out of his poor spell of injuries in time for the bubble.
However, Cousins has found his way back on the court at the Houston Rockets, alongside John Wall and James Harden. While he did get ejected in his first game against LA, his former teammate Davis was happy to see him back on the court.

“Everyone is genuinely happy to see him back on the floor. I mean he’s a guy who’s a great talent. Also, a nice guy off the floor, and guys are happy, especially on his side being his teammate. Last year, and me personally in New Orleans for a couple of years. Guys are happy to see him back on the floor playing the game that he loves.”

Anthony Davis may have respect for Cousins as a former teammate and be genuinely excited to see him back on the court, but he is yet another big-man AD has to worry about this season.

He has to face players like Nikola Jokic and Rudy Gobert in his conference, while the East has beasts like Bam Adebayo and Joel Embiid.

Boogie Cousins used to be one of the best centers in the Western Conference. However, his recent injury history has really impeded the progress of his career. Nonetheless, he is still capable of getting a double-double on any given night.
