There are only a few players who have created a sensation in the NBA. Some of these are Michael Jordan and his dunking and domination, Kobe Bryant and his clutch scoring, LeBron James and his all-around game, and now, Stephen Curry and three-point shooting. “I believe it’s Steph Curry by default, almost. He’s winning, and LeBron is not. That’s really what this comes down to for me,” explained Stephen A. Smith.

Despite LeBron’s consistency, the Lakers find themselves in 9th place in the Western Conference. This is far below the expectations that were put on them at the start of the season. Furthermore, Smith added that LeBron James is the face of the NBA because of his off-court activities. When it comes to what happens on the court, Smith believes that Curry has the upper hand. Moreover, the Warriors have come alive this season and find themselves 2nd in the West.

LeBron James and the Lakers

As Stephen A. Smith stated, the primary reason why Curry has the edge is that he is winning more games. Although becoming the ‘Face of the NBA’ may not be a goal for a player, winning games definitely is. At least, it is the case for LeBron and his Lakers. The ‘Purple and Gold’ find themselves in a hole this season and are unable to find their way out.

They are heavily reliant on LeBron, especially since AD is injured. If anything, they should play with the aim of proving critics wrong. As for LeBron, he just needs to be as consistent as usual. Hopefully, the Lakers can enjoy a turnaround season.
