On Saturday night, the Brooklyn Nets won their first regular season game against the Toronto Raptors. The standout performers on the night were Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. However, since his debut, fans have been drawn to Ben Simmons once again. Simmons has arguably failed to impress in the Nets’ colors so far, and fans gave their thoughts online after Simmons seemed to pass up on an opportunity in the game, reminiscent of a moment from his Philadelphia 76ers days.
The Nets eventually won by four points, with the final score being 109-105. During his 41 minutes on the court, Kyrie Irving led the Nets with 30 points, 1 rebound, and 7 assists. Standing by his side, Kevin Durant played 35 minutes on the court, recording 27 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Ben Simmons was quick and energetic throughout his 32 minutes on the floor, but his performance seemingly left fans disappointed. He tallied 6 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Fans seem unimpressed with the game of Ben Simmons
During the second quarter of the Brooklyn Nets vs Toronto Raptors game, Ben Simmons did something that could have been one of the game’s highlights, but he had something else on his mind. Simmons dribbled the ball through the defenders and was in position for a highlight dunk, but instead, he tossed the ball to Nic Claxton. Claxton then went for a sledgehammer dunk.
The move was seemingly not well welcomed by fans online, who felt Simmons should have dunked it himself. NBA on ESPN posted a video of the incident on Twitter with the caption, “Ben in his bag tonight.”
