The ‘Hoops for Troops’ week is here! It is a time during the season when NBA teams honor and support the US military in unique ways. On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors decided to do something rare to express their gratitude for those who serve. They did this in an extremely impressive and eye-catching way.

While USA basketball dedicates an entire month to honor and thank the country’s forces, this year the NBA decided to continue this venture all year long. Furthermore, teams started posting videos with members of the military earlier this month.

During the warm-up session, US military personnel presented the game ball to Stephen Curry and the Warriors. As the players prepared for the game, three members of the US military dropped down on ropes. They made their way down with ease and in style. Following this, one member was seen spinning the ball on his index finger.

This happened prior to the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Golden State Warriors‘ NBCS media page posted the video. The post was captioned, “Now THIS is how to deliver the game ball”. With that said, other NBA teams have also contributed to the ‘Hoops for Troops’ week.
