His selection included legends like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and many others. However, his decision to have Stephen Curry on his team caught everyone’s attention. He said, “Steph (Stephen Curry), he is in there for me. So Steph’s shooting is, think anybody would want that.” This decision of Coach highlights the impact Curry has in the basketball world, with his high IQ and shooting skills.

Further in the conversation, they both dived deep into the impact of legendary players from the 90s and 2000s in today’s LeBron James era. When Coach Scheyer was asked whether these titans like Michael Jordan, Kareem, and Shaq would quickly adjust and still reign supreme in a different generation, the coach’s response was a resounding “No doubt, no questions”. Jonathan James Scheyer, popularly known as ‘Coach Jon’, is the guiding force behind the powerhouse that is the Duke Blue Devils.
