The influence of Cristiano Ronaldo knows no bounds. Since signing for Al Nassr, the Portuguese superstar has single-handedly changed the entire course of the Saudi Arabian soccer landscape. The Gulf nation seems to seize every opportunity to leverage the player’s presence. In a surprising turn of events, the Saudi Minister, who once took a dig at Lionel Messi, has hinted at an intriguing project involving CR7, following a high-profile rendezvous along with heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou.

This comes from the Instagram account of Turki Alalshikh. The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority posted a picture alongside Ronaldo, Joshua, Ngannou, and Tyson Furry. Along with this, he wrote a lengthy caption saying, “With my dear friends, the best athletes in the world in their sports, and big surprises soon… And a project with the legend Cristiano Ronaldo in Riyadh will be announced in the coming months…” Additionally, Alalshikh also expressed his excitement for Friday’s fight between Joshua and Ngannou. He also voiced his eagerness for the ‘fight of the century’ between ‘the undisputed champions,’ Tyson and Oleksandr Usyk.

It looks like Ronaldo is finally venturing into the world of boxing. Perhaps we can see the 39-year-old play the role of a major investor in the upcoming project teased by Alalshikh. Notably, CR7 has been advocating for boxing for quite some time. The Al Nassr skipper has often paid a visit to matches that have been conducted in Riyadh. Either way, time will reveal all the secrets but it looks like the involvement of Ronaldo is set to increase in the coming days. After all, it’s evident why Alalshikh fancies him for such a sporting endorsement, given that he took a jab at his arch-rival.

Turki Alalshikh made a sly remark about the arch-nemesis of Cristiano Ronaldo

Turki Alalshikh made a bold claim when asked about the absence of Lionel Messi during the Riyadh Season Cup friendly between Inter Miami and Al Nassr. He said, “I received news about Messi Mob player. He saw Cristiano was absent and was afraid that he would lose against Al Nassr without Ronaldo, and he would stumble and walk away and said, ‘Let me go.’” Unfortunately, the Herons couldn’t defend their star player.

Instead, David Beckham‘s side was thrashed 6-0. Although Messi came off the bench for the last seven minutes, Ronaldo watched the entire game with pride from the stands. The reason La Pulga missed the game was that he exhibited signs of injury. Nevertheless, Alalshikh’s claim suggests that the GOAT debate is settled for him. The Saudi Chief has taken his friendship with Ronaldo to the next level with the upcoming project.
