Take any sport, you will definitely have the GOAT debate. It can be a bit tricky when someone has to name the greatest athlete of all time from the lot. Recently, a Tottenham Hotspur star faced a similar question. Surprisingly, the $50 million worth soccer star didn’t stick to one name; instead, he chose four legends who are loved by millions around the world. And unsurprisingly, that includes Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi

Interestingly, he didn’t think much before taking the names of Michael Jordan and Tom Brady, as these two names came to mind automatically. There are very few who act diplomatically when the GOAT question is thrown at them. And the Tottenham Hotspur star, Son Heung-min, is one of them.

At the moment, the words of Son Heung-min carry significant weight, as he has impressed the soccer lovers with his splendid performance against Arsenal. The 31-year-old is thriving in his current position at Tottenham, following Harry Kane‘s departure. Furthermore, he has cemented his position as a talented footballer who also boasts a net worth of a whopping $50,000,000. In the main striker role, the Spurs leader scored two goals in Sunday’s exciting 2-2 tie against their strong opponents at Arsenal.

In the video posted on the Instagram page of Sports Illustrated Soccer, the Tottenham star was asked to name the greatest athlete of all time. As an answer to the question, he said, “Oh wow, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady. Messi and Ronaldo.It’s interesting to note that even the 31-year-old could not end the GOAT debate by taking the name of either Ronaldo or Messi. Similar to Heung-min, even Ronaldo’s national teammate Vitinha once found it difficult to pick one between the two legends.

Vitinha too fails to put an end to the GOAT debate

Vitinha is someone who has played with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi at a very young age. Even after knowing both legendary footballers closely, the PSG midfielder gave a diplomatic answer like Heung-min when asked about the GOAT between the two. It’s indeed hard to answer the question, as the Portuguese superstar holds the record as the highest scorer ever, while the Argentine star is not only the second-highest scorer but also the all-time leader in assists.

As an answer to the famous GOAT question thrown at him, the Portuguese said, “Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are two extraterrestrials. I’m privileged to have played with both of them.
