The fan’s favorite team to win the World Cup, Brazil, is out of the running to lift the coveted trophy. Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livaković, who was the hero of their previous game against Japan, pulled off similar heroics against Brazil. He stopped the penalty kick from Rodrygo, and then Marquinhos fluffed his kick. Croatia won 4-2 on penalties and knocked Brazil out of the tournament. It doesn’t matter if you are a Messi, Ronaldo somebody else’s fan, you must feel for Neymar. He has been carrying the hopes of his nation on his shoulders and this potentially was his last opportunity to bring home the trophy.

Brazil came to the round of 16 after topping their table by winning 2 out of 3 matches. In the round of 16, they faced South Korea and destroyed them by scoring 4 goals in the first half. They won their match by 4-1.

While addressing the defeat and talking about his future with the team, the PSG star said, ” Honestly, I do not know. I think talking now is bad because of the heat of the moment. … To say that this is the end would be rushing myself, but I don’t guarantee anything either. Let’s see what happens going forward… I will not close the door to playing with Brazil, nor do I say 100% that I’ll come back.”
