Finally, Israel Adesanya has given his verdict on the controversial win of Jon Jones at UFC 247.
Jon Jones took on Dominick Reyes in the main event. It was expected that the mighty Jon Jones would welcome the inexperienced, Dominick Reyes to the big league and make him look inferior. But what happened left the fan in shock and made us ask whether Jones still is the best in the world.
To sum it up, Reyes made look Jones like a human. Many legends and elite contenders have tried to dethrone the light heavyweight champion. But it’s safe to say that nobody came closer than the Devastator. Many fans still believe Reyes is the uncrowned king of the light heavyweight division.

Israel Adesanya reacts to Jon Jones vs Dominick Reyes
Amidst all the uncertainty, the middleweight champion and Jones’ rival, Israel Adesanya talked about Jones’ performance against Reyes and he did bring up an interesting perspective.
”I’ve seen him. I’ve seen what I needed to see, In the fifth round, he tried to turn it on, but he couldn’t. Compare his fifth round to my fifth round against Kelvin Gastelum; there’s a difference.”

Adesanya fought Kelvin Gastelum for the middleweight interim title and it was one of the best title fights in UFC history. While Gastelum asserted dominance in the early rounds, Adesanya made a comeback, winning the final round and the fight in a spectacular fashion.
