UFC Star Wants to Join Conor McGregor at Former Mike Tyson Camp

Sean O’Malley has never shied away from showing his admiration for Conor McGregor. The bantamweight star has even fetched comparisons with the Irishman for his charismatic persona and fighting style. Arguably the biggest star in the UFC bantamweight division, O’Malley is now looking to train with McGregor after an opportunity arose for the same.
Conor McGregor recently gave an update about the training camp for his upcoming bout. Although it is yet to be confirmed, McGregor is likely to fight his TUF opponent coach Michael Chandler next. In a recent tweet, ‘The Notorious’, announced he would begin camp for his next fight in Big Bear, California soon.
Several notable athletes, like Mike Tyson and Tyson Fury have trained at the high altitudes of Big Bear. Now McGregor is taking a leaf out of their books, indicating that he means business on his return.

In a response to the tweet, O’Malley had asked if he could join McGregor for the camp and train with him. However, McGregor is yet to respond to O’Malley’s request. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old doubled down on his desire in a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel.

In episode 230, of the ‘TimboSugarShow,’ Sean O’Malley explained his interest in training with Conor McGregor. He was talking to his coach, Tim Welch, and their guest, the #10 ranked UFC lightweight star, Jalin Turner. Welch started discussing McGregor by reading out one of his recently deleted tweets aimed at prominent MMA coaches.
O’Malley responded, saying, “Yeah, he went off. I didn’t see that tweet. Though he’s probably buzzed, that was funny.” He further added, “I mean I tweeted at him. He said he’s going to big bear. I said, “Can I come?” I think that would be so sick. Go up there for a couple of weeks. I’ll get my own f***ing place to stay, eat, sleep and all that. Just train with him. That would be f***ing sweet…”

O’Malley seemed excited at the prospect of training with one of his idols and all-time biggest stars of the promotion. He was even willing to take care of his own expenses just for an opportunity to train with ‘Mystic Mac.’

Fans will have to wait and see if McGregor will grant O’Malley’s wish. A collaboration between two of the most dynamic strikers in the UFC will also be a treat to a lot of fans, given that their last meeting in 2021 during an NFL game was also viral.
