And wants to explore his options as an independent contractor with other promotions to see how it works. However, Schulz believes this is not a wise move from the UFC’s perspective, to let go of their “baddest man”.

Schulz stated in an episode of FLAGRANT, “The UFC didn’t come to an agreement… I think that the UFC regrets this.” “I think this is a bad move”

And explained, “you don’t ever want to lose your heavyweight champ. That is the baddest man on the planet”

“If he goes to another organization… as UFC you can’t say you have the baddest man on the planet anymore.”

Furthermore, he added that if Ngannou does take part in another promotion, they can claim to have the deadliest MMA champion.

“if Francis Ngannou goes to the PFL, he goes to Bellator. Those organizations have the greatest MMA fighter in the world. The most dominant one and the most badass person.” 

However, Ngannou hasn’t stated his next move yet. But, announced his plans to potentially enter the boxing ring before coming back to MMA.
