UFC analyst Joe Rogan dissects a myriad of engrossing topics on his prominent podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. Most podcasters just stick to their field of expertise. But, in JRE the host invites well-versed guests, who specialize in diverse sectors of intellect. One such notable intellectual, is an author and human rights activist, Siddhant Kara. Rogan featured him in episode #1914 of The JRE. The two geniuses sat across from each other and discuss the irony of today’s world. How people have grown to accept the hypocrisy of capitalism, forced by major tech companies. Because they enforce poor workers, to engage in the hazardous activity of cobalt mining.
Joe Rogan opens up about the ignorance of society
The former Fear Factor host expressed his opinion on the tech giants of the digital age, where most are happy to pay a blind eye to slavery. As long as they get their smartphones and internet. But, often use the same devices that perpetrate slavery, to preach equality and justice.

Rogan said, “The intense hypocrisy of this age we’re living in, and especially in this country, where we’re so focused on social justice.”
He added, “And we’re so focused on equality and treating people with kindness and dignity. And the fact that we’re talking about this and communicating on this on devices that were constructed by slaves.”
The podcast host absorbed and reflected on his guests’ hard-hitting statement about our age probably having the most slaves, throughout history.

Upcoming novel, ‘Cobalt Red: How the Blood of the Congo Powers Our Lives’ by American author, Siddharth Kara deals with the aforementioned plague that persists in our society. The author tried to explain how the reality of slave laborers in Africa, is far worse than it was centuries ago.

Because the form that slavery has taken today is far more dangerous. As people claim to live in a land of freedom and equality. However, it couldn’t be far from the truth for the underprivileged in third-world countries.
Rogan reacted “That’s so insane. It’s so hard to admit. That it could possibly be that f*cked up.”
And had a revelation about all the evil that was ignored by the general population, which led to this scenario.
