“If Only They Had Guns”- Joe Rogan Gives His Take on Living in Australia
The 55-year-old UFC commentator, Joe Rogan, is famous for being brutally honest about things that go on around him. People get to know a lot about Rogan’s thoughts on several matters through his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. The UFC commentator always makes sure that his show gives insights about the UFC world to the fans, who are always thirsty to know what happens inside the promotion. Furthermore, when Rogan had the “Companion Fight” episode in JRE, it covered a wide range of subjects.
The entire episode was the live reaction to UFC 284. Along with Rogan, Brendan Schaub, Eddie Bravo, and Bryan Callen also joined. They were watching the fight between the lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev, and the featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski. The fight was held at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia. While watching the fight, the four-fight companions started to have a conversation about Australia. Brendan Schaub stated that the way Australians pronounce numbers like “240” is peculiar. Rogan replied that they speak Australian, not English, which pretty much justifies the difference. The former Fear Factor host also stated that the language Australians speak can be called “drunken English.”

The conversation went on until a point when Rogan felt that they were making disrespectful comments about Australia and the people living there. Soon he corrected and made some honest remarks. The 55-year-old said “Australia is filled with some f**king amazing people. That’s a great place. If only they had guns, I would have moved in.”
According to the gun laws of Australia, an individual should have a firearm license to possess a gun. Furthermore, the person should have a genuine reason—which does not include self-defense—to receive the firearm license. The firearm laws of Australia are quite strict since 1980 after increased homicides using guns. Nonetheless, it seems that the UFC color commentator dislikes this factor about the nation.

Not just Rogan, but Dana White too talked about Australia
Ever since the venue of UFC 284 was announced, people have been talking about all the features of the country. It was not just Rogan who commented on Australia; UFC president Dana White also talked about it. The president posted a video on Instagram showing himself attempting to prepare a dish using the well-known Australian spread Vegemite Fondue.
However, as soon as he finished cooking the dish, the UFC president got way too open about his tastes. While having the Vegemite Fondue, White said, “Just for the record, I hate Vegemite; it’s disgusting.” For the fans, neither the opinion of Rogan nor White matters; for them, the Australian crowd was the best of all.
