Fans can imagine his fury when he found out about frauds disguised as an MMA instructor. In a recent episode of the JRE podcast, Rogan expressed a warning to potential students of MMA to stay away from the fake artists, who still persist.

He said, “There’s a lot of those guys that existed before the UFC that were just frauds. There was a shit ton of ‘em. They would start their own schools and they would teach people. And they literally didn’t know how to fight. They were making s**t up.”
However, since the UFC caused a resurgence in the MMA community, people came to become aware of the basic principles of Jiu-jitsu, Sambo, or Taekwondo techniques. Therefore, more people can tell the authentic instructor apart from the posers.

In the same episode, Joe Rogan warned that somehow these fake instructors still prevail among us.
The UFC color commentator said, “There’s so many fake martial artists still out there. It’s amazing that they still exist. And then the weird thing is this thing where they have this death touch on people. And the people just all fall down because it seems like these people really do believe that they’ve been touched by some crazy chi energy and they fall.”

Further talking on the subject, the 55-year-old added, “They can’t move their body. There’s a lot of ‘em, there’s like hundreds of these videos. It’s like, what is that sort of mass psychosis? what is this like, hypnosis?”
Therefore, some artists with counterfeit black belts use gimmicks such as Death touch, akin to a famous Bruce Lee conspiracy to attract attention. But a true master does not need to show off his tricks to prove his worth. Like Joe Rogan himself, when he was a dedicated MMA instructor.
