“What’s Happening With You Girls? Why So Quiet?”: Champion Valentina Shevchenko Takes a Swipe at Entire UFC Flyweight Division

The Kyrgyz and Peruvian fighter continues by describing how helpless she feels when she must spend an extended period of time away from the octagon. She goes through rigorous training in order to defend her championship at any cost.

‘Bullet’ planned to fight in December, but the UFC failed to match her with a suitable opponent, so all of her preparation was for nothing. Her constant training in preparation for a battle is challenging. She acknowledges how avidly she awaited her bout from September and how she never received any encouraging news. “If they call me tomorrow, I’m ready tomorrow,” says Valentina. She expresses openly her unhappiness with the division’s lack of activity.
