UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal has unlocked a newfound respect for soccer following the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final in Qatar. ‘Gamebred’ congratulated the winners, Argentina, and their captain, Lionel Messi, as they earned the most prestigious trophy in the game. ‘La Pulga’ claimed his first world cup final victory against France and scored twice to help the team. Even Masvidal recognized the amount of effort Messi put in to lead his team to the title after he failed to win the tournament three times since his senior debut in 2005.

Masvidal even brought up his Cuban roots to create a connection between him and the Argentine players, as he congratulated the team for its efforts in their native tongue!

Jorge Masvidal posted an image and wrote a heartfelt message to congratulate his Latino brothers for their World Cup victory. ‘Gamebred’ posted the iconic image of The Argentine Football team as they lifted their third World Cup trophy.

They took the image after a historic win on penalties against France. When the 6-goal thriller ended with the two teams tied at 3-3 after normal and extra-time, it paved the way for a nail-biting penalty shootout.

He wrote, “Truly inspiring, three attempts to grab the most coveted in all of soccer and never was discouraged. Congratulations Messi and Argentina 🇦🇷 Much love to my Latin brother and sisters” in Spanish.
