Conor McGregor even claimed to have overtaken former WWE Champion and Hollywood A-lister Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in the process. Meanwhile, the former UFC double champion also mentioned how the original ‘Road House’ movie has a cult following while talking about the positive response the trailer of the remake received in just a few hours of its release.

Robert Whittaker picks Dricus du Plessis over Israel Adesanya

Former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker has given his stance on who will emerge victorious between Dricus du Plessis and Israel Adesanya. The Aussie fighter stood in support of ‘Stillknocks’ after witnessing the fight he put up against Sean Strickland at UFC 297, leading him to become the first South African Champion.

“You know what? I’m gonna say DDP. Just because, like Sean with Dricus, the safe bet was Sean. But Dricus showed what he was willing to do and what he’s willing to go through,” ‘The Reaper’ stated. Whittaker is not sure about Dricus du Plessis replicating the same performance against Israel Adesanya. However, ‘Stillknocks’s knack for fighting could help him edge past the former 2-time champion.

“Can he do that again against Izzy? Who knows… It doesn’t matter if he’s getting hit. He showed that tenacity in that fight (UFC 297 main event). So, yeah, I’ll go DDP,” Whittaker further added. It remains to be seen when fans will get to see the ‘real African’ fight in the coming months.

According to multiple sources, including ‘MMA Fighting‘, reports suggest that fans and oddsmakers are leaning heavily toward the possibility of Kayla Harrison winning the fight against Holly Holm. The latter has been in the fight game for a long so there could be a chance that the younger fighter gets the better of the former champion. However, we will find that out at UFC 300.
