The tweet by journalist James Melville faced criticism when he drew parallels between Ali and Djokovic. His social media account states him to be a communications and sponsorship consultant. Additionally, he also has a podcast called ‘Speakeasy.’
However, the opinions of Twitter users differed on the matter. But a former track and field athlete lambasted the journalist, and other former and current athletes soon followed suit. The person to condemn the comparison was none other than track legend Michael Johnson.
