Triple H brought back several former WWE superstars once he became the Head of Creative and took his role as the Chief Content Officer. There are a few he wasn’t able to sign back to WWE and some of those went to Tony Khan’s AEW. Recently, Jim Cornette, who recently called Matt Hardy a ‘concussed ex-great’, now mocked AEW’s latest signing.
The ‘King of Kings’ was reportedly interested in Japanese wrestler, Kota Ibushi. But after the latest developments on AEW Dynamite, it is clear he will be in AEW.

Hours after AEW showed a video package of Kota Ibushi teaming with The Elite at the Blood and Guts fans went berserk. However, there were few who weren’t excited about the same and they showed their reaction on Twitter, and legendary pro wrestling manager Jim Cornette is one of those.

A viral clip on Twitter of the 41-year-old Japanese wrestler resurfaced where Ibushi wrestled with a doll. While the clip had the caption, “So this is the new game changer Kota Ibushi?”, Cornette added more to it.
The 61-year-old wrote, “Looks like AEW’s landed another Hall of Famer!”
This is not the first time Cornette has taken a jibe at AEW. There are several occasions in the past when the former WWE official has thrashed Tony Khan’s company over ample reasons on his podcast.

Ibushi’s NJPW contract expired earlier this year on February 1, 2023. Since then, he hasn’t joined any of the major companies. However, his appearance in AEW will be a massive one reuniting him and Kenny Omega formerly known as the “Golden Lovers”.

Additionally, with ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and The Young Bucks also on the team, they will collectively be called ‘The Golden Elite’ at Blood and Guts. They will fight The Blackpool Combat Club and the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion is also excited about this.
Kota Ibushi breaks his silence on his AEW announcement!

Shortly, after AEW announced Kota Ibushi will be the fifth man of The Elite aka The Golden Elite now, the Japanese star shared his thoughts on it.
The former WWE superstar wrote on Twitter, “Kept you waiting huh. I’ve been watching AEW this whole time. Kenny, your 5th man is…the Golden Elite’s Kota Ibushi!! Sorry I’m late Page, Bucks, Kenny. Next week I’ll be there!! Kota Ibushi is finally back at full strength so shall we change the world together? Let’s go!!”
Surely, we’ll get to see some of the iconic moves of Omega and Ibushi in the ring. Moreover, fans are already expecting an outstanding match between the two teams at AEW Blood and Guts.
