The Nuggets made the most of Nikola Jokic’s superb form to win the finals 4-1 against Eastern Conference champions Miami Heat. The NBA Finals MVP scored 28 points and 16 rebounds on Monday as his team won its fourth game in five encounters of the 7-game finals. The Nuggets players will be receiving their championship ring from the NBA, but that’s not all.

WWE will be giving the champion team a customized WWE belt. Soon after the victory, Triple H, the WWE Head of Creative congratulated the winners on Twitter. “We’d like to add a little something to the celebration,” part of Hunter’s tweet read.

The WWE later said a custom replica WWE Championship would be awarded to Jokic and his teammates. So, not just something to wrap around the fingers, the new champs will have a bigger object wrapped around their waists. Now, that’s something that’ll add to the bragging rights.

The Nuggets players, however, are not the first NBA stars to have a connection with the WWE and pro wrestling. Several basketball legends have been a part of the pro wrestling industry in the past as well. Players like Shaquille O’Neal, Dennis Rodman, and Karl Malone have all graced the squared circle. But none of those mentioned have received what this NBA legend has. Let’s find out who that person is.

Billionaire NBA icon once showed off an iconic WWE ‘move’

It is not a surprise that so many achievers from other fields or sports have openly expressed their love for the WWE. Vince McMahon’s global juggernaut provides the perfect spot for a cross between sports and entertainment. So, people loving either get to connect with it.

One such high-profile celebrity is billionaire NBA legend LeBron James. King James is good friends with WWE icon Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock. He takes time out from his schedule to interact with the 51-year-old Hollywood actor on social media, mostly by commenting on his posts.

In 2014, James posted a video of himself on Instagram, where he tried mouthing the iconic “If you smell…” catchphrase from The Rock. He also showed off a WWE Championship belt and thanked The Great One for the gift. Apart from 4 NBA championship rings, that’s one extra championship he possesses.
