The angle between The Rock and Royal Rumble 2024 winner Cody Rhodes is the hottest thing in the WWE right now. It’s been confusing at times, with Rhodes resigning from his main event match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against The Rock and then returning. But it’s now official that Rhodes and world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins will face Rock and Reigns during the first night of WrestleMania, before ‘The American Nightmare’ takes on ‘The Tribal Chief’ in what could be a ‘Bloodline Rules’ match on the second night.

These four superstars have been the highlights of WWE shows with their promos. Dwayne Johnson in particular has put up mesmerizing displays as one of the stars in the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown. He stunned the fans in attendance as he made his ‘Black Adam’ themed entrance. The darkness in the arena and the lightning made him look like a godly figure, but it was the reaction of Cody Rhodes and Rollins that impressed a WWE legend.

In a recent appearance on the ‘Busted Open Podcast’, WWE legend Mark Henry joined as a guest and talked about all things WWE. It was during this conversation that the host, Dave LaGreca, and Henry talked about the recent segment on SmackDown, especially the epic entrance of the Rock. LaGreca and Henry praised how Rhodes and Rollins seemed to be really connected with the audience during the entrance. To the point that they can be called ‘one’. Henry said, “Being one with the people and coming out of the crowd is always been a strong way to get people behind you. And Seth Rollins walks the line of is he a good guy or is he a bad guy? So that was very helpful from that standpoint.”

Henry further added, “Also, they did something together, which is another thing that you need to think about is you want to connect Cody and Seth. So the WWE is crossing all the crossing all the T’s and doting the I’s that they won’t both of those guys to come across as the people’s people in front of the people’s champion.” The four top stars have been a massive hit among the fans. So much so, that the March 8 edition of SmackDown saw an increase in viewership again with an overall average of 2,439,000 viewers, a 4% increase over the March 1 edition of the show averaged a total of 2,348,000 viewers.

This can be attributed to the much-appreciated segment. Unfortunately, the segment between the superstars ended abruptly due to a lack of time. Everyone took a few minutes to introduce themselves to the audience and also to listen to the chants of those present, and that led to a final moment that was a bit rushed. As rushed as arguably WWE’s booking decision with Sami Zayn. Zayn recently won the gauntlet match to decide the challenger for Gunthers’ Intercontinental Championship. But it was Gable, who was the real fan favorite. In fact, he was even the favorite of Cody Rhodes, who showed his support for the superstar.

In recent weeks, the phrase “Finish the Story” has been one of the most recurrent themes and phrases in WWE. Cody Rhodes is the one who best embodies the meaning of that phrase. He has done everything possible to get back to the main event of WrestleMania and get a shot at a world championship as he carries the burden of his family’s legacy. However, Rhodes is not the only one who decides to follow that mantra. Chad Gable is also another fighter who wants to end his own story. A story that this time ends with the Intercontinental championship.

A few hours ago, before the gauntlet match at RAW, Chad uploaded a post to X in which he stressed the importance of the match. As a result of this, Cody Rhodes wanted to show his support for Gable, so The American Nightmare decided to respond to Chad Gable’s video with the following words: “Chad: Go and win everything!”.

Unfortunately, Gable has missed out on the opportunity by losing against Sami Zayn. Chad and Gunther already had a trilogy of matches at the end of August and the beginning of September. They were three exceptional matches, in which Gable could not snatch the belt from the Austrian. But he surely won the affection of the fans. Who time and again advocates to see Gable’s coronation as Intercontinental champion. What do you think? Will we see a new champion at WrestleMania? Let us know in the comments.
