Brock Lesnar squaring off against Omos at WrestleMania 39 was made official on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. After a lot of speculation, a battle against the towering Nigerian will be Lesnar’s assignment at this year’s ‘Showcase of Immortals’.

Ever since his 2012 return to the WWE, Lesnar has mostly picked and chosen his battles. This has led to him facing The Undertaker and Roman Reigns. Omos has his work cut out at the upcoming event in Hollywood. But it looks like he may not need to look further away than a former world champion for inspiration.

Veteran WWE performer Sheamus recently posted a snippet of his battle with Lesnar back in 2016. The video features Lesnar taking the Irish performer on a trip to ‘Suplex City’ before he becomes a victim of the trademark White Noise maneuver. The caption for the post read, “Run this back, go large, call it… “The Banger To End All Bangers!” #sheamusvbrock #takemymoney #banger”.

This clip is from a 2016 fight between the two heavy hitters in a live event. They are yet to square off against each other on WWE TV. This recent tweet from ‘The Great White’ will be keenly observed by MVP’s prodigy.

Is WWE missing a trick by not booking Brock Lesnar vs Sheamus?

Sure, it serves as an inspiration for Omos seeing Sheamus battle ‘The Beast’. However, the video also makes one wonder why the mouth-watering clash between Sheamus and Lesnar has not been booked yet in the WWE. The dream encounter does not look to be happening anytime in the near future.

Sheamus is occupied with a feud against Viking Raiders alongside Drew McIntyre. And Lesnar would be busy facing the mammoth challenge in front of him.

A revisit to Lesnar and Bobby Lashley looked imminent after the DQ win for the latter at the Elimination Chamber. But a sudden change of events has turned everything on its head.
