“Time for a New Partner”: After AJ Styles Gets Ambushed, WWE Universe Clamor for LA Knight to Partner Up With John Cena at Fastlane

John Cena promised that Friday Night’s SmackDown was going to be a “can’t miss” and indeed it was, just not for AJ Styles. What was supposed to be a routine contract signing turned out to be a full-blown ambush on Styles backstage. As Styles got rushed to the hospital, WWE fans wanted LA Knight to take his place at Fastlane for the planned tag team match.

This might also be the fairytale setup for LA Knight vs Roman Reigns leading to Royal Rumble or WrestleMania.

Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa viciously attacked AJ Styles

SmackDown started with John Cena and AJ Styles challenging Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa aka The Bloodline to a tag team match. On approaching WWE authority figure Adam Pearce, Cena and Styles got a tag team match set up for the Fastlane PLE.

Towards the end of the show, Cena waited in the ring for Styles for the contract signing of their tag team match at Fastlane. But Styles was ambushed backstage by Jimmy Uso and then ‘The Enforcer’ Solo Sikoa decimated what was left of Styles with a splash from a staggering height of 15 feet.

Styles was rushed to the hospital on a stretcher as a worried John Cena tried to make sense of the situation. Fans then took to Twitter to suggest a replacement for AJ Styles at Fastlane.

Fans vouch for LA Knight to be the perfect partner for John Cena to avenge AJ Styles attack

Fans were quick to suggest LA Knight as the replacement partner for Cena at Fastlane to avenge the assault on Styles backstage.

One fan went on to become a full-on WWE writer predicting the whole storyline right up to Cena’s retirement.

A fan was on board with LA Knight teaming up with Cena against The Bloodline.

Post the attack, everyone had just one name for Cena’s replacement, LA Knight…Yeah!

Fans were equally shell-shocked by Solo Sikoa’s brutality.

Later as Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa dastardly entered the ring, John Cena ran in to give them a piece of his mind. But the numbers game eventually worked in The Bloodline’s favor and Solo Sikoa Samoan Spiked Cena not once but twice.
