The Rock did mention he was going away for a while. This is to film his upcoming movie, The Smashing Machine. The principal filming will begin on May 1 and is reported to last for the next three months until August. However, August also had SummerSlam, which could be the starting point for this feud. Or if Johnson arrives earlier, he could build up to a match at the PLE. Johnson has made it clear that he will continue his heel Final Boss persona moving forward. While Rhodes dealt with Roman Reigns, The Rock will live up to his new Final Boss moniker.

While SummerSlam2024 is the best place for a match between the two, there could also be a build-up for WrestleMania XLI. If Johnson doesn’t have time for a match this year, he could make appearances just for promos. WWE has built up this storyline incredibly, with Johnson handing Rhodes something unknown before leaving. While this will come into play once the Hollywood star is set to return, it has driven the WWE Universe into a frenzy. What do you think The Rock handed Rhodes? Will we see a babyface Reigns now that his reign is over? SummerSlam or WrestleMania? Where should the two collide? Tell us in the comments.
