Ever since his return, at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes has been in red-hot form. He is placed as an absolute megastar and pushed the same. Rhodes started his WWE return with a high-profile match win against Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and then carried on the feud with two more wins against him. Although he faltered against the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, his run has not lost momentum.

With his three-match battle against the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar coming to an end, fans are wondering what’s next for the American Nightmare. Such is Rhodes’ presence that WWE creative has issues putting forth his next challenger. Responding to the dilemma, a WWE legend has come up with a solution for his upcoming feud that would keep his momentum running.

The problem with Cody is that WWE does not have too many high-profile superstars to engage him in a feud with. Rollins, Lesnar, and Reigns are done while feuding with others might jeopardize his momentum. So what will Rhodes do till WrestleMania? WWE legend Bully Ray suggests a solution to bring back Seth’s ‘Freakin’ Rollins despite their three-match battle.

Bully Ray told Dave LaGreca on Busted Open Podcast “Listen, Cody has defeated Seth three times, but Seth can always turn around and say ‘You’re right Cody, you beat me three times. And you beat me at WrestleMania on your return, you beat me in the rematch and you beat me in the Hell in a Cell with a torn pec, [with a torn freaking pec, which rhymes with Broken freaking neck]. Hmm, but you never beat me for this championship [Seth to Cody].’ They could go down that road.

The former multi-time WWE tag team champion was referring to Seth battling Rhodes again. Although both superstars have feuded before the last episode of Raw on 7th August brought back both superstars together to the squared circle again.

It might give both wrestlers a solid reason to fight again as Seth has never beaten Rhodes while Rhodes has never won the WWE World Championship. Should WWE pull the trigger on Bully Ray’s idea?

People are intrigued to see how Cody Rhodes’ story of winning the biggest WWE title will unfold. It was the arc that kept people engaged when he won the Royal Rumble last year to face the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. The American Nightmare lost at the main event due to interference, but neither has he given up hope nor have the fans.

While Reigns is busy with his brothers and the Bloodline saga, Cody has just finished another chapter in his journey by overcoming Brock Lesnar. It is rumored that he will challenge Reigns again for the title, but a potential rematch is probably not happening till WrestleMania 40. So, another feud against ‘The Visionary’ may be justified as Rollins is the biggest star on the Raw brand alongside Cody Rhodes.

Bully Ray’s idea seems plausible, but does it help Cody Rhodes’ redemption arc? Regardless of the match result, one of the stars might lose momentum. If Rhodes wins, the mystery surrounding his journey will lose value with Rollins losing momentum as well. If Rollins wins, he will gain nothing as he has no such storylines going forward while Rhodes might lose momentum going forward. So it’s a dangerous ploy to pull the trigger on.
