After months of dominance over the RAW Women’s division, The Eradicator has finally found her match in Raquel Rodriguez. But, ahead of their Championship clash at Payback, a former WWE Champion and powerhouse of the Women’s division has laid hints at a WWE return during Payback.

Though Rhea Ripley is a powerhouse, she often receives assistance from her Judgement Day members and on-screen lover Dominik Mysterio. But this 39-year-old former WWE superstar is not worried by the advantage Ripley has with Mysterio.

Ahead of Payback, Sportskeeda shared an interview snippet with Nia Jax as an Instagram reel, where the former Women’s Champion said she would get ‘Payback’. In the original interview, conducted on August 11, Sportskeeda Senior Editor Bill Apter asks Jax about a hypothetical WWE return against Rhea Ripley. In a direct message to Ripley, she says, “Rhea Ripley, your Dom Dom is not going to be able to help you, honey. I am going to get Payback.”

Nia Jax, who has been out of action since 2021 (except for sporadic appearances), has been undergoing training for months for a WWE return. The wrestling powerhouse has thrown several hints at a return and even suggested an idea for a storyline with Ripley, considering their history.

Nia Jax vs. Rhea Ripley dates back to 2021

The brief history between the two superstars started with a singles match on an episode of RAW in 2021. During the match, Ripley busted Nia Jax’s eye open with a high kick before winning the match with a surprise roll-up.

Another incident involves Rhea Ripley delivering her finishing move Riptide to a returning Nia Jax who was the #30 entrant on this year’s Royal Rumble. The move from Ripley eventually resulted in Nia being thrown out of the ring. So, The Irresistible Force has more than enough reason to give Ripley her payback.
