Terence Crawford emerged as the unified winner in the welterweight division a few weeks ago. Since then, boxing enthusiasts have been certain that he was the pound-for-pound No. 1 in the boxing ring. His victory against another fighter, Errol Spence Jr., was historic in the sense that both fighters have been previously featured in the majority of the P4P lists, and this showdown would determine who amongst them is the ultimate. Now that, ‘Bud’Crawford has proven his worth to be featured on the top of these lists, there is one such list that has not acknowledged it. The list is so against the grain that even Claressa Shields has called it out.

Champside put out its updated Pound-for-pound list for 2023. The list features ten fighters who are, yes, some of the best boxers in history. But it does not feature boxers who won big this year. The list gave the top position to Nayoa Innoue. He was followed by Canelo Alvarez, who has yet to fight Jermell Charlo. The list also held Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk in its ranks but seemed to miss fighters like Terence Crawford, Shakur Stevenson, and Devin Haney. And of course, fans had a lot to say about this.

The pound-for-pound listings have not been appreciated by the fans. It has received immense backlash and criticism on the internet. One of them also included the Greatest Woman of All Time, Claressa Sheilds. The boxer called out the boxing commentator page.

Rob Allen was so mad at the list that he said he would probably block Champside on Twitter.

Joey Peeps called out the list for not including Bud on it.

Noe elaborated on the list he thinks would be befitting.

Zylus claimed that the page was an Errol fan for not including Bud on the list despite his stellar win.

As fans express their disapproval of the P4P list given by Champside, other organizations have put Bud ‘Crawford’ on top of their lists, and rightly so. The man holds all four titles in the welterweight division under his name. And this is exactly what P4P number 1 holds. Despite Errol Spence Jr. losing his bout against Bud, he has also been featured on many such lists given the amazing resilience he showed recently and the prowess he’s showcased in the last few years.
