On the eventful night of Dec 2022, Tyson Fury held his head high as he secured a win over Derek Chisora by a technical knockout. But that wasn’t the only highlight of the graceful night. Tyson Fury called out the Olympic gold medalist, Oleksandr Usyk, for a fight in front of the Tottenham Hotspur crowd. The atmosphere was electric as the two great warriors of this era faced off inside the squared circle.
And that’s the beginning of the saga of the potential fight between the ‘Gypsy King’ and ‘The Cat’. Now, there are still many things that need to be catered to before the fight comes to fruition.
The fans desperately want to see both heavyweights get into the ring with their gloves on. Among these wishful thinkers, former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson also gave his predictions in an interview with talkSPORT and gave a serious warning to Oleksandr Usyk. And before this, Mike Tyson backed Usyk as a potential challenge for other heavyweights including Tyson Fury.

Now, the fight between Usyk and Fury was supposed to take place in Saudi Arabia, where they were getting paid a lot of money. But Fury did not like the fact that the payout was 50-50, as he did not feel it was fair to keep it half and half for a fighter of his caliber. Even his father, John Fury, agreed and stated that Tyson is the A-side and he would never be settling for a half-split payout. So, now the fans are a bit confused as to whether the fight is going to take place or not.

But, many are still optimistic about this fight. The reporter, Spencer Oliver, from talkSPORT, went to Mike Tyson with his expectations for the fight. He asked Tyson whether he believes that Usyk may come out as too short in height for a giant of a man like Tyson Fury.
To which Mike Tyson simply responded that he doesn’t believe that size makes you win fights, but he still warned Usyk regarding Tyson Fury.
He said, “I am never thinking about it too small I just think um Tyson’s not going to do what um Anthony Joshua [did]. I think you just going to go and put a lot of pressure on him.”
Also, Mike Tyson sees Fury in high regard as a boxer. And he believes that the ‘Gypsy King’ is going to dominate the division, for a long time, and it would be a problem to make him back down.
Tyson believes Tyson Fury will be the reigning champion for a long time
