Tyson Fury Pay-Per-Views Not Dead in the US, Confirms Promoter

Brit superstar Tyson Fury has fought his last five bouts on American soil, three of which were against ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder with the WBC heavyweight belt at stake. The Fury-Wilder trilogy ended on October 2021 after Tyson Fury knocked out Deontay Wilder to set the rivalry at 2-0-1 in his favor.
With his undefeated record intact and the WBC title onboard, Tyson Fury is now done with his American counterpart. However, he is not done appearing in the United States of America. ‘The Gypsy King’ can return to US soil for more PPVs in the future. Bob Arum has already given a green signal to the idea.

PBC boxing’s vice-president Tim Smith had belittled Tyson Fury’s ability to garner attention from the American audience unless he faces a superstar like Wilder. But Bob Arum disapproved of the claims. And showed complete faith in his unbeaten client.
Arum exclusively replied to Smith’s criticisms and said, “What he’s saying is not correct. He can fight in the United States and make a lot of money. But it has to be [against] a fighter that’s known to the American public, not just to some insular boxing people.”

Tyson Fury shall return to the ring somewhere in mid-2022. He is already being rumored to face several A-listed contenders from the division. WBC Interim champion Dillian Whyte should ideally be his next opponent. However, that fight is still far from being put on the papers. That said, Oleksandr Usyk, the WBO, WBA, and IBF champion, is also in talks to meet ‘The Gypsy King’ in an undisputed title fight.

Oleksandr Usyk shall clearly be a worthy opponent for Tyson Fury. Both the heavyweight champions are currently undefeated and have looked flawless in their latest outings. However, Anthony Joshua will have to step aside from his rematch clause with Usyk, and only then can Fury have a go at the Ukrainian star. While AJ doesn’t intend to do so, Fury can look into his other options.

A few weeks back, ‘The Gypsy King’ called out UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in a massive crossover, which he named ‘Clash of The Titans’. While Ngannou defended his gold against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270, Fury pressed more on his potential fight against ‘The Predator’. Therefore, a lot is happening on Tyson Fury’s combat radar. Only time will reflect his next official move.
