“You’ll Hit Him Once and He’ll Start Bleeding” – KSI Exposes Jake Paul’s Next Opponent Nate Diaz

The first-round knockout of Faze Temperrr on January 14 was the highlight of the Misfits (MF) & DAZN: X Series 004. However, the fight itself dawned most dramatically. KSI was supposed to take on mixed martial artists Dillon Danis. But, the latter pulled out at the last moment because of a ‘lack of preparation and coaching.’ Anyhow, KSI’s set piece didn’t disappoint the spectators. He hopes to repeat the feat on Saturday Night as he fights Joe Fournier as part of MF & DAZN: X Series 007.

Like Jake Paul, KSI has dazzled the ‘influencer boxing’ scene since he debuted. The amateur match against Logan Paul ended up a draw. Otherwise, KSI has yet to face a defeat in either professional or exhibition formats. He stunned everyone by winning two back-to-back matches through knockouts in a single day on August 27. So iFL TV caught up with him yesterday to discuss a range of issues, especially touching base on the upcoming fight and archrival Jake Paul, his upcoming bout with Nate Diaz.

The interview started with a deep dive into the risks of fighting a ‘real’ boxer like Joe Fournier. Despite his absence from the ring, he maintains an unbeaten record of nine wins. However, KSI exuded confidence in sending Fournier to the canvas,”…I just know with my mindset, my speed, my power and my tenacity I just don’t see him being able to do anything to me….”

KSI is light years ahead of Jake Paul

The reporter picked up a message tweeted by KSI: “I just want to address a tweet that comes from your Twitter account yesterday, uh, before the Diaz and Paul press conference. Let’s imagine KSI beats Joe Fournier on May 13 and then goes on to beat Tommy Fury at a later date. What does that make of Jake Paul’s career? Does that mean Jake Paul will be remembered as the man that failed to beat a boxer in [his] boxing career?”

A reasonable thought, KSI responded. Jake Paul proudly claims he is among the best influencer boxers. Then, if he cannot defeat a fighter, where does that leave him? KSI asked. His resume already includes a victory over a boxer like Luis Pineda. He continued that we could expect a similar outcome from the Fournier match. Tommy Fury would be the third boxer to fall, he explained.

The reporter asked whether that was the plan to seek out Tommy Fury. KSI replied, “Yes, because I’m way better than Jake. Guys come on, I’m so much better than Jake Paul…you can’t compare us all, right I’m on a way different level to him, and that’s why I want to show it when I fight Tommy Fury.” He said that Jake Paul is ‘terrified’ to face him in the ring. The latter runs away despite him (KSI) and his team approaching Paul for a match.

Instead, after losing the bout to Fury, Paul only picked a fight with an aging MMA fighter. “He got [shaken] after losing to Tommy Fury, so he’s run to an MMA guy who is 40-odd, Nate Diaz, who is just full of scar tissue. You’ll hear him once, and he’ll stop bleeding, bro. That is what he wants. He wants a safe option….” KSI clarified that if people believe that Tommy Fury is the litmus test he should first face and that he has a minimal chance of clearing it, it remains to be seen.
