There is nearly no one better at trolling their opponents than Jake Paul, of course, leaving Dillon Danis. However, ‘The Problem Child’ Paul’s  move today would make even Danis proud! In a recent pinch, the YouTuber-turned-pugilist updated his X banner to an image of Sean Strickland

However, it wasn’t an ordinary image! It showed the number one middleweight in UFC moments after getting knocked out by Alex Pereira. The update comes after the duo got into a heated exchange steaming from Strickland, sparring with the popular influencer Sneako. However, Jake’s trolling move didn’t quite land with the public as it did for Dillon during his antics.

Following the sparring season between Sneako and Strickland which went viral on social media, the younger Paul brother came out of the woodwork to offer Strickland a whopping million dollars for a fight. He asserted, “I’ll fly you to PR, and we can fight on camera… if you win, I’ll give you $1 million (half your net worth).”

Strickland accepted the challenge, but not for money! Instead, Strickland stated, “I’ll make you a better deal…No cameras, me and you in a desert…No Instagram, no likes, no games…Just you, that’s what I want…” During this back-and-forth that went on for a bit, Paul updated his X banner, pitting fans against himself.

A fan thinks Jake is setting up a fight that he will take when Sean is old

After Jake Paul changed the banner, MMA Orbit picked up the story and shared it on X, receiving mountains of criticism directed at Paul. One user asserted Jake’s fate against Pereira would be the same. Notably, Pereira didn’t just beat Strickland! His resume includes the likes of Israel Adesanya and Jiří Procházka, so it’s safe to say, in an MMA setting, Paul would look even worse.

Someone else asserted the move was embarrassing and implied the Cleaveland native is just chasing clout since that’s the only thing bringing him engagement online.

Another user claimed even Paul would look the same if he fought Alex Pereira. However, given Paul’s track record of defeating big names in MMA, that could only happen if they fought in an MMA setting. There’s an argument to be made when it comes to boxing.

The next user visualized what would happen if Jake Paul fought Pereira, claiming a punch from the latter would cause Paul’s nose to bleed. Obviously, sarcasm is involved, but Pereira has caused a lot of bleeding in his opponents.

One take at a time

The first time boxing captured my attention, it was because of a line I heard in the film 'Rocky Balboa', a film surrounding boxing. The line went like this, "But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
