As exciting as the championship finale is, the latest Spiderman movie brings up just as much excitement. Further, Spiderman himself is aching to support his favorite driver in the final round at Abu Dhabi! In a recent interview, Holland revealed his allegiance to McLaren driver Lando Norris and how the team welcomed him in Monaco.
Tom Holland’s appearance on the paddock was welcomed with the Spiderman title song blasting from the McLaren garage. However, Holland loved the gesture. “I loved that… I thought it was hilarious! Walking down the pitlane in Monaco and the whole McLaren team plays Spiderman; it was awesome.”

Holland also revealed that he had spoken to Lando Norris before the interview. “We were just texting back and forth and I wanted to come to see him race before the end of the year, but I don’t think I’m going to have time.”
Fans have often likened Norris to Holland- with both sharing the similar head of curls and typically British. Further, Brown fits well into the role of Happy, with Ricciardo somewhat resembling Tony Stark. With a multiverse of its own forming in the McLaren garage, maybe we’d see an F1 x Marvel movie soon enough!
Lando Norris ready to take McLaren to P5 battle
Lando Norris has an important race ahead of him, one that could bring big changes. First, there is the obvious P3 battle against Ferrari. With 38.5 points between them, only a result as good as Monza can help the Papaya team.

A more achievable goal is P5 on the driver’s board. Norris, who was once P3 in the first half of the season, will have to battle Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc for the position. Norris shared, “For multiple reasons, we want to end the season well. I want to be ahead of Ferrari and be ahead of them as a driver. If we can finish ahead of them as a team, even better, but that’s a very long shot.”

However, Leclerc will not go easy on Norris. “It gives us that little bit of extra motivation also because we are not fighting for the top positions–I wish we were–but at the end, there’s still a place in the championship that I have to keep this weekend, which is the fifth place. So I will give my best.”
But wait, there’s another player in the game; one very close to Norris, his former McLaren teammate, Carlos Sainz. The Spaniard is 4.5 behind Norris and also has his eyes on the P5 result. “I’m still in the fight for P5 in the drivers’ championship, third for constructors’ looks good. So I must have done a pretty decent season to be in that position.”

A midfield battle almost as good as the title run, it’s a shame Tom Holland wouldn’t be there to give his bud some encouragement for the crucial weekend ahead.
