Russell Westbrook’s Demotion Opens the Door for 27YO Clippers Star to Showcase His Talents Alongside 3 Future Hall of Famers

At the early stage, the Clippers are still working through as they try to incorporate James Harden into their rotation. The Clippers are off to a straight 6 games losing streak ever since Harden’s arrival. The reigning MVP Russell Westbrook, is leveraging with all his experience and leadership. Something has to change before they clash with the Rockets in the In-Season game. The Clippers are losing at 0-2 in the group and this is their best shot if at all they want to remain serious contenders for the In-Season cup. 

Russ has made an important decision right before their game with the Rockets that paves the way for 27-year-old Terrance Mann to shine in the first rotation. 

Russ officially takes demotion as the sixth man

After taking the biggest payout of his entire career, Westbrook has decided to come off the bench ahead of the match against the Rockets tonight. Chris Haynes of the Bleacher Report reported that Russ hopes his decision can help accelerate the winning process of the Clippers. 

Terance Mann will be starting instead of Westbrook, giving him a chance to shine with future Hall of Famers- Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and James Harden.

The Clippers‘ next step is to effectively utilize all rotations and Russ’s contributions from the second unit. The starting line-up also has Ivica Zubac, and the Clippers wanted a better shooter as their number five, which they are hoping to find in Terrance.

The Clippers are trying all possible rotations 

After Terrance’s name was involved in trade rooms with Philly to get Harden, the front office made it clear that he was an ‘untouchable’ asset. “We love T-Mann, and T-Mann is gonna be here,” said head Coach Lue. While Terrance is still improving, the Clippers are preparing him for the breakout this season.

The clippers are floundering and Tyron Lou wants to try out all the experimental rotations while there is still time. Russ has been supportive of his intention that PG, Kawhi, and Harden find better chemistry.
