The two NBA Finalists are now ready to bring the all-exciting 2022-23 season to a close. After a ruthless dismantling of the Boston Celtics in Game 7, the Miami Heat are back on the grand stage. They will face off against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets, who have so far been unbothered in these playoffs. Becoming just the second eighth seed to reach the NBA finals, the Vice City has proven one thing – they have some serious impact-makers on their side. But what if we tell you this isn’t the best of Jimmy Butler and the Heat?

The Joker and his troops might have to start worrying about their Finals matchup right away. A major update could potentially put the Eastern Conference Champions in the place of power.

The Miami Heat might have devoured the strongest of foes, but they were shorthanded for most of their postseason journey. Just a month ago during their First Rond series against the Milwaukee Bucks, Tyler Herro suffered an unfortunate injury. He broke his shooting hand, which put him out of the playoffs indefinitely. But now that Butler and Co. have marched to the elusive NBA Finals, there is a chance the 2022 Sixth Man of The Year could make his return.

According to NBA Insider Chris Haynes, the 23-year-old scoring talent has been, “ramping up workouts,” in hopes of being available to face the Nuggets in the NBA Finals. He is expected to return around Game 3, which would be the first home game of the Finals for the Miami Heat.

Herro is the prodigal scorer who can let loose in the biggest of moments. Every season he has elevated his offensive arsenal. With both Jimmy Butler and him on the floor, the Heat can operate freely, exploiting the pockets of spaces. The Kentucky alumni can score on all three levels. What’s more is that in his absence the Heat have somehow bred other pure talents.

The likes of Caleb Martin, Gabe Vincent and Max Struss have solidified their place in the rotation after showing out against the Boston Celtics.

This update could spell doom for the Nuggets. But they too come with lethal firepower. Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. are playing some of their best basketball. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Bruce Brown are tenacious defenders who can quickly heat up as shotmakers. But the most destructive weapon of all is the two-man game between Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

On paper, this series is evenly matched. Fans have anticipated this matchup ever since the Heat went up 3-0 against the Celtics. While it took time to come to life, the clash is all set to go down. The final push for the Larry O’Brien trophy will begin on Thursday with Denver hosting Miami for Game 1.
