LeBron James’ season has been nothing short of spectacular considering that he’s 37 years of age. In time turning fashion, the ‘King’ continues to dominate for his Lakers and remains to be the team’s frontman. More recently, he even had two fifty point performances and became the first player to enter the 30K, 10K, 10K club.

However, his dominance has not translated into wins this season. Since the All-Star Weekend, the Lakers have only won 2 games and currently hold a dismal 29-40 record. This seems so unusual when a player like LeBron is on the team. Considering this, the ‘King’ received plenty of backlash from fans on Twitter after his tweet trolling the Green Bay Packers of the NFL.

Twitter Fires Back at LeBron James

They questioned LeBron’s audacity and even cited several examples such as the Lakers’ current record, Westbrook’s poor shooting, and the team’s lack of defensive presence to get back at LeBron.

What’s In Store for the Lakers?

The Los Angeles Lakers have had an underwhelming season. In fact, they never even pictured themselves to be in such a place. This is especially true since Rob Pelinka added Russell Westbrook to reduce the load on LeBron. Clearly, that has not worked out well. In fact, the Lakers have a 2-9 record since the All-Star Weekend and both the wins have arrived only when LeBron scores at least 50 points.

With just 13 games left for the ‘Purple and Gold’, they will hope to win as many as they can. It will be a miracle for the Lakers if they win all 13 as it will improve their record to 42-40. However, this task seems quite impossible as they have to face teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, and the Golden State Warriors during the 13 game stretch. Moreover, they will hope that Anthony Davis returns soon from injury. Regardless, things don’t look good for the Lakers’ future this season. They may need some more epic performances from LeBron to stay afloat.
