Fans Call Out ‘Liar’ LeBron James as Stephen Curry’s Unreal March Madness Clip Resurfaces: “Watching the Biggest Threat to His Legacy”
LeBron James was in the building when Stephen Curry showcased his mettle on the hardwood as a college player 15 years ago. Curry led Davidson College to the Elite-Eight round of the 2008 NCAA men’s Division I tournament. The Los Angeles Laker was in awe of the now-Golden State Warriors centerpiece Curry, who put on an unreal performance. King James recently wrote a few words about the Baby-Faced Assassin on his Instagram by sharing a post of Curry’s Sweet-16 game from 15 years ago.
The Chosen One was full of praise for the now-9x All-Star Stephen Curry. NBA buffs, however, surprisingly called out the Los Angeles Lakers forward for his praise and some even accused him of ‘lying’.

LeBron James is also a social media icon and often shares posts of himself and his family. Recently, on his Instagram stories, the four-time MVP shared the post featuring Curry, originally shared by Bleacher Report, and added the text “Knew he was special!!” to it. The post contains a photo of the Lakers forward, seated courtside and reacting to the current Warriors guard’s performance. A highlight reel above it shows Curry giving it his all against the Wisconsin Badgers.

The game between Davidson and the Badgers ended with Curry leading his side to a 73-56 victory. The highest scorer of the game, he wrapped up 33 points, three rebounds, four assists and four steals. However, Davidson lost to Kansas in the next round by a narrow margin. Curry was also the highest scorer in the Elite-Eight. What was more surprising about James’ post than Curry’s shooting ability – which is now confirmed by his record three-pointer numbers – was how fans turned his praise for Curry against him.
