The Lakers had the league disappointed this season. Despite LeBron James’ dominance and the veterans that were signed, including the young guys as well, the Lakers didn’t even make the Play-In tournament. Fans had high hopes for the Lakers this season, mainly because of the new addition, Russell Westbrook.
Since the Lakers had a downfall this season, Giannis and the Bucks took the attention of the league this year. Milwaukee finished 3rd in the East, as they prepare to take on the Chicago Bulls in the first round. Watching Giannis ball out yet another season, Shaquille O’Neal had praises for the Greek Freak over LeBron.

In a recent episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, O’Neal says that the downfall of the Lakers has no excuses. Having 5 of the best current player, the Lakers couldn’t make the playoffs, whereas the aspiration was of a ring. In the middle of the season, the fans and the critics started blaming Westbrook for his poor performance. Though Shaquille believes, the veterans didn’t seem to care.
“Me and Jamal know. We see. I see they didn’t care the whole year.” said O’Neal.

Shaq also says that in order to continue one’s dominance on the floor, a player has to show and perform likewise every single game. These deep understandings are well known to veterans like LeBron, Carmelo, and Westbrook. This is probably the reason Shaq had a jaw-dropping take on LeBron.
“And you know, LeBron is my guy. But, nobody was ever scared of LeBron, right. So, if you’re not scared of a guy, you have much more confidence. And that’s a dangerous guy to play with.”

Shaq picks Giannis to be more fearful than LeBron James
O’Neal believes that there is respect for LeBron among the younger player, but not fear. “Giannis. They fear Giannis now… Yeah, they fear Giannis, cause they can see it in his face when he comin’ down the damn lane full court. They can see like, yo this guy not playin’.”

The Greek Freak is indeed a beast with his athleticism especially. His transition dunks are either, poster or a loud slam. Yet again, Giannis is in the MVP conversation along with Jokic and Embiid. If Giannis does well in the playoffs, he might get the MVP trophy for the third time.
