Stephen A. Smith Calls Upon Former Franchise for Blockbuster LeBron James Trade on Behalf of Lakers: “They’ve Got Some Young Talent”

The speculation regarding LeBron James’s future with the Los Angeles Lakers refuses to die. The Laker’s disappointing season last season, when they entered the season as one of the preseason favorites but eventually didn’t even qualify for the play-in tournament. And with LeBron James still trying to compete for championships, him leaving the Lakers might suddenly be a possibility.

Stephen A. Smith has also jumped in with his take. According to him“I’m calling Miami because they’ve got some – you talk about Bam Adebayo, Tyler Hero, they’ve got some young talent,”

The pressure is on Lakers

The Lakers organization was the toast of the town two years ago when they won the championship in 2020. But for the past two years, injuries have been a constant companion for them. Anthony Davis and LeBron James missed a significant part of the last two seasons. The Lakers went all in last season when they traded away their bench strength for Russell Westbrook. And that move may have just started the next cycle for the team.

At this point in his career, LeBron James’s sole focus is on winning championships. And if he feels like the current roster of the Los Angeles Lakers may not help him reach that goal, he may seek a trade. Now there might be few teams who could trade for the King, but Pat Riley led Miami Heat just might.

After struggling for a bit when LeBron left his talent from the south beaches, the Miami Heat has seen a resurgence in the franchise’s future with drafting well and making great trade moves. With young players like Bam Adebayo, recently announced a sixth man of the year Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson etc, Miami just might pull off a trade. But there are some problems too.

Miami is a team which relies a lot on team chemistry and them pulling off a trade like this will cause losing their bench strength and shooting. But stranger things have happened in NBA and if LeBron leaves LA, what better place to go to than Miami?
