Legendary boxing icon Mike Tyson has created a legacy like no other. He still remains a huge name in the sport. In a recent conversation with comedian Kevin Hart, Tyson spoke about the intermixing between the UFC and boxing.
He was in favor of such a crossover. Tyson said, “I think it’s awesome… And then, from that happening, one day we are going to have a heavyweight champion that’s both in … UFC and the boxing champion. There’s going to be one guy conquering both worlds.”

“Going to happen. You watch and see.”
Tyson then went on to talk about his early days as a boxer. He revealed that he has watched his older fighting tapes and could not believe some of the things he said.
The UFC and boxing crossover between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather in 2017 was huge. Fans of both sports came forward to support their respective athletes; hence, the event generated huge revenue. While McGregor lost the match, many wanted to see a rematch between the two fighters.
Now that McGregor is back to training after recovering from his leg injury that he sustained at UFC 264, reports of a second match have been floating around. However, during a recent press conference, UFC President Dana White set the record straight by stating that no boxing match was in the talks.
Thus, it looks like ‘The Notorious’ will make a comeback in the UFC and not in boxing.
