Dana White Reveals Who Is Getting the Title Shot After Colby Covington vs. Leon Edwards
Recently, the UFC welterweight division witnessed quite a lot of drama. The UFC president, Dana White, decided to give the next title shot to Colby Covington, and the same disturbed the entire welterweight division. ‘Chaos’ fought two times for the welterweight title against the then champion, Kamaru Usman. He lost both matches, and this made other welterweight fighters, including the champion, Leon Edwards, think that he was not deserving of another title bout. The other two fighters who wanted to get a title shot against ‘Rocky’ were Belal Muhammad and Gilbert Burns.
Muhammad currently stands at the peak of his career with an eight-fight winning streak and a no-contest in between. On the other hand, Burns recently had two great victories against Neil Magny and Jorge Masvidal. This makes both of them feel that they are fit for a title shot. However, now things are all sorted out, as Burns and Muhammad will lock horns at UFC 288. The victor among the two will get a title shot against the winner between Edwards and Colby Covington. The UFC boss has agreed “100 percent” to the deal.
