Notably, Gilbert Burns, who squares off against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 287, questioned the decision of the promotion. Further, the Brazilian specified his intent to put doubt in everyone’s mind as he proclaims to finish ‘Gamebred’, thus throwing his name in the mix for the title contender.

The 36-year-old theorized a dominating win against his opponent in Miami might propel him ahead of Covington. In addition, he spelled out his motive to grab a title shot riding on the spectacle he intends to put on.

Durinho, in a conversation with MMA Junkie, mentioned that the Clovis native sat down for a year as his fights against Khamzat Chimaev and Shavkat Rakhmonov didn’t materialize.

Thus, he said, “Now that guy comes out of nowhere and steps in. Colby is smart, but I don’t know why the UFC is giving the opportunity to the guy, but it is what it is. I hope that doesn’t happen.”
