UFC LW Michael Chandler Reveals Who Hit Him the “Hardest” – Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier or Charles Oliveira?
It is transparent that the UFC lightweight Michael Chandler is quite occupied with coaching in the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter. The entire UFC community is eagerly waiting for the season to air as UFC superstar Conor McGregor is making his comeback to the MMA world. The ‘Iron’ has been in the limelight ever since the official announcement of coaching against the Irishman was made. After the end of the season, the both of them will square off in the UFC Octagon.
If Chandler wins against the former two-division champion, it would pave the way for a historic moment in his fighting career. Nevertheless, even after being a three-time lightweight champion at Bellator MMA, Chandler failed to earn the lightweight belt in the UFC. The 36-year-old has fought five bouts in the UFC; however, he lost three of them. Recently, the ‘Iron’ revealed who hits the hardest among some of his opponents.

The American lightweight took to Twitter to give his fans a chance to ask him any questions. Chandler tweeted “I have an hour – #askmeanything.” The fans came up with some very interesting questions. Chandler and Dustin Poirier locked horns at UFC 281 on November 12, 2022. ‘The Diamond’ forced ‘The Iron’ to submit through a rear naked choke within 2 minutes of the third round. The bout between the two was quite fierce; however, the unexpected moves of Poirier paved the way for Chandler‘s failure. The fans witnessed a back-and-forth, bloody war between the two.
Even though Chandler lost the bout, ‘Iron’ portrayed a tough fighter who constantly aimed at finishing his opponent. Soon after his bout against Poirier, it was announced that the 36-year-old would be coaching in The Ultimate Fighter.

The bouts Chandler lost
Michael Chandler fought against Justin Gaethje at UFC 268. The 36-year-old lost the bout via decision in the third round. Before fighting with Gaethje, ‘Iron’ fought against Charles Oliveira at UFC 262. The two came face-to-face to win the vacant lightweight title, followed by the retirement of the former champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Chandler showcased a spectacular fight in round one, where he nearly finished Oliveira. Nonetheless, the clash took an unexpected twist when the bout entered round two where Chandler lost the bout within 19 seconds with a TKO.
