UFC Star Gives Conor McGregor End of the Road Reality Check After Back-to-Back Lightweight Losses

UFC middleweight fighter Darren Till has shared some comments on the career of UFC megastar Conor McGregor. The Irish sensation is due to return from a severe leg injury as he prepares to step inside the octagon again. Till recently appeared in an interview with the ‘Basket Insiders’ and talked about McGregor, among other things. McGregor has pumped up a lot of muscle and shown his incredible transformation online to his fans and followers on social media. It has been over a year and a half since he last stepped inside the octagon. The fighter also has not picked up a win since January 2020 after his win against Donald Cerrone.

McGregor has lost his last two consecutive fights. He has won just one out of his last four bouts. As such, Darren Till believes that the former double champion may be done with MMA after all his championship wins and the amount of money he made.

Darren Till believes that Conor McGregor should be happy with how much he has achieved in the UFC. “I think Conor has been there and done it, made his money and now he’s happy,” said the Liverpool native. He added, “I’m sure he probably wants to come back but deep down he knows life’s different now. I think it’s probably the end for Conor but he’s still the biggest name in the sport.” Till has maintained McGregor’s status as the biggest draw in the history of the sport. He repeated the same sentiments as Paul Felder, believing that the “Notorious” is past his prime.

The official announcement regarding Conor McGregor’s next UFC opponent may not come out until winter of 2023. But his possibilities and options to fight aren’t limited. There are fighters like Michael Chandler, Stephen Thompson, and Gilbert Burns who can put up exciting fights. However, UFC President Dana White has shut down rumors regarding his next fight.

However, McGregor needs to enter the USADA testing pool to be able to get back into the octagon. It could take up to 6 months for the whole process to be completed. USADA has made it clear that no one will be exempted from the testing process.
