The latest edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, which featured a match between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn in the main event, garnered an audience of 1,909,000 viewers. This represents an increase in viewership and marks the highest viewership since June last year.

The latter episode also featured a Gunther vs. Kofi Kingston fight for the Intercontinental Championship as well as segments featuring CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Bayley, Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax, Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins. Here are some more details on the viewership increase.

Well, the increase in WWE Raw viewership was quite expected, as the episode after the Royal Rumble is traditionally one of the highest-rated episodes of the year, and the tradition stands tall again. From last week, the ratings were up by 13 percent. This was surely helped by the Royal Rumble being the first televised match for CM Punk since his return, as well as the Rumble win by Cody Rhodes, as the two sure gathered a lot of attention.

In fact, the segment between ‘The Cult of Personality’ and ‘The Scottish Warrior’ Drew McIntyre had 2.01 million viewers, but it likely increased to over 2.2 million by the time it ended. Whereas the segment between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins marked the highest quarter of the show, with 2.2 million viewers and a 0.73 in 18-49. This is RAW’s highest overall viewership since June 26, 2023, and the highest demographic rating since November 27, 2023. On the other hand, it was an entirely different story for AEW.

AEW hits a record-low

The AEW Collision on Saturday averaged 300,000 viewers on TNT, bringing it down by 32 percent from the week prior. This has marked the lowest audience total that the AEW program has ever had on a Saturday night. This is second only to the November 17 episode that had to be rescheduled to a Friday night as the network aired Full Gear during their regular time slot.

Drawing a 0.06 rating in the 18-49 demographic, collision is down 50 percent from last week. And regardless of the time slot, it is an all-time low for the program. And the Royal Rumble can be blamed for the record low, as Collision went head-to-head with the PPV on Saturday night. Another factor working against it was the fact that it aired at the same time as a Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors NBA game that averaged 2.8 million viewers and drew a 0.69 rating in 18-49 in the fast nationals.
