WWE Royal Rumble is a part of the original big four pay-per-views and is one of the most important ones till now. The 2021 edition will be the 34th event under the Royal Rumble chronology.
Since then, Royal Rumble has developed an aura of its own. Under its itinerary, Royal Rumble has some mind-blowing records! Since its inception in 1988, 1130 entrants have entered the match, hoping to get their hands on a unique opportunity.
Out of those 1,130 contestants, only 30 individuals have won the match. After winning the match, they challenge a world champion of their choice at WrestleMania.

Out of the 30, 18 (including the last four Royal Rumble winners) have won their title at the greatest show of them all. Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is the only superstar to win the Rumble thrice.
When it comes to personal records, Shawn Michaels holds the rare record of winning the match from the number 1 spot. Although he is not the only one, as WWE’s forgotten superstar Chris Benoit also achieved the same when he won the match in 2004.
Daniel Bryan lasted the longest in a Royal Rumble match during the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia that featured 50 participants as he lasted 1:16:06. On American soil and in the traditional 30-men Rumble, Rey Mysterio holds the accolade with 1:02:12.
Kane holds the record for most WWE Royal Rumble appearances and eliminations
The ‘Big Red Machine‘ has appeared in Rumble matches 17 times and holds the record for the most combined eliminations with 43. On a single night, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman hold the record with 13 eliminations.
Last year, Bianca Belair and Shayna Baszler made headlines with their Royal Rumble when they debuted and eliminated eight entrants in a single night.

This year, Charlotte Flair looks forward to winning her second consecutive Royal Rumble, a feat that hasn’t been achieved for 23 years. On the other hand, Randy Orton will fight to win his third Royal Rumble and get equal with Austin.
