Royal Rumble 2024 is all set to be a delight for WWE fans. While the return of CM Punk and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was already tough for the fans to wrap their heads around, in the recent episode of SmackDown, it was announced that the ‘Tribal Chief’ would be defending his title in a Fatal 4-way match at the Royal Rumble PLE.

The Bloodline interfered in the Triple Threat match between LA Knight, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton as they vied to be the number one contender for the title. They ended up thrashing all three superstars, and SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis had enough. He went ahead and informed Paul Heyman that Reigns would now be facing not one, but all three superstars in a Fatal 4-way match. This announcement made fans rejoice, but many might also wonder if that could be the possibility for Seth Rollins as well. What are the odds? And whom may he face? Let’s dig in.

Is Seth Rollins set to relive the same fate as Roman Reigns?

The more, the merrier—the phrase is definitely true for pro-wrestling fans. While a singles match is fun, adding more superstars to the mix brings in a lot of fun and chaos. Since the announcement of the Fatal 4-way title defense for Reigns, the fans are on cloud nine. But is there a way to make the Royal Rumble better? Bring in another Fatal 4-way title defense for the World Heavyweight Championship.

While Rollins would disapprove of this idea, the fans want what they want. And with the WWE constantly coming up with pleasant surprises for its fans, we might actually get an announcement soon. But another question looms: Who would he compete against in the 4-way? Here are some possible contenders.

Drew McIntyre Made Major MJF Reference During CM Punk Raw Promo Amid Rumors of WWE Arrival

Drew Mcintyre

Everyone saw this name coming. Drew McIntyre has been on a warpath against the current World Heavyweight champion. The Scotsman has been feuding with ‘The Architect’ for quite a while now, aiming to win the championship gold. Last year at Crown Jewel, McIntyre came agonizingly close to winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but could not achieve the task. And on this week’s edition of Raw, he faced another setback. In a singles match against Rollins for the title, he lost the match in the closing moments after fighting off The Judgment Day who tried to cash in the money in the bank briefcase. This interference might make a good argument in favor of getting another opportunity at the Royal Rumble.

Jey Uso

2023 had been ‘THE’ year for ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso. While in the early part of 2023, he was just a member of The Bloodline, by the end of the year he became the man to pin the ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns. But that was only the first step in breaking free from his shackles.

And ever since breaking free from the Bloodline and becoming a singles star, he has established himself as a main event talent while earning significant praise from fans. With the momentum that he has right now, it won’t be surprising to see WWE push him towards earning a singles title shot or even making him a world heavyweight champion.

Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn has always been an underrated crowd favorite. The superstar has spent most of his career being the underdog in almost every storyline. But 2023 turned out to be a major stepping stone for his career after he became an associate of the Bloodline and became an ‘Honorary Uce’. However, like Jey, he too had a fallout with the stable due to his powerful bond with Kevin Owens.

And ever since, he and Jey have been sharing similar traction. They have been establishing a name for themselves in singles competitions thanks to the constant praise and support from fans. With Zayn being another fan favorite and the forever underdog of every fight, we cannot help but have him as a dark horse in this race to championship glory.
