The WWE Royal Rumble 2024 finally happened and as expected, the WWE Universe enjoyed every minute of it. Everything was high-voltage from the title matches in the evening to the slugfest of 30 wrestlers for a championship match at WrestleMania 40.

Despite the show being a must-watch, some moments stood out and became the night’s highlight. While the iconic back-to-back victory of Cody Rhodes was highly impressive, here are five more Royal Rumble 2024 moments that are criminal to miss.

Kairi Sane with a mini Kofi Kingston moment

Damage CTRL member Kairi Sane found herself in a tight spot during Royal Rumble 2024. Coming in at number 11, Sane had a great run with Asuka as they helped their leader Bayley in the match. But, a toss from the top rope almost eliminated her, but she struggled to stay alive. Kairi Sane saved her feet from touching the ground and tried to hoist herself up, putting her core and back muscles through a vicious test.

But, her mini Kofi Kingston moment came to an end shortly after. Unable to either get back in or endure the pain any longer, Sane’s Royal Rumble 2024 run sadly came to an end. This was highly appreciated by the WWE Universe, who compared her unbelievable tenacity to that of Spiderman from when he was saving a speeding train. 

A show of strength and muscle by Jade Cargill at Royal Rumble 2024

While Kairi Sane displayed the enduring strength of her muscles, Jade Cargill showcased the explosiveness her muscles carry. The former AEW star wreaked havoc at the Royal Rumble 2024 as soon as she entered the ring. Going head-to-head against Nia Jax, Cargill showcased her insane strength and shocked the fans.

It is seen that big and heavyweight wrestlers like Mark Henry and Big Show take either multiple wrestlers or incredibly strong ones to get eliminated. Showcasing that she belonged to the second group, Jade Cargill monstrously eliminated Nia Jax on her own. She was also among the final three survivors after taking out Naomi, and fan-favorite Becky Lynch.

R-Truth cracks everyone up in the audience of Royal Rumble 2024

R-Truth always finds one way or the other to make the crowd laugh at his antics. The Judgment Day member accidentally entered the women’s rumble match and had to be informed and escorted away. However, this wasn’t the end of his Royal Rumble 2024 shenanigans. The confused R-Truth kept asking Dominik Mysterio to tag him in the match so he could fight in his stead. 

The whole encounter was absolutely hilarious, as Truth could have entered the match at any time. But, he only came in when Mysterio tagged him at the Royal Rumble 2024. Although Rhea Ripley didn’t seem very happy about Truth’s actions, the WWE Universe definitely enjoyed every bit of it.

The bloody mess created in the US Championship match

Kevin Owens is one of the strongest WWE fighters whose only objective is to win. By hook, or by crook. His match for the US Championship at the Royal Rumble 2024 against Logan Paul saw him get dirty as well. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller stormed the match and attacked Paul to give KO the upper hand. 

But, while interferences are commonplace in WWE, the duo also used brass knuckles on the YouTuber cum pro wrestler. The weapon was later used by KO as well, which made Logan Paul a bloody mess. Just when Owens was about to get the win, match referee Ryan Tran noticed the weapon in his hand and disqualified him. While Paul won the match, it came at a very heavy cost.

When The Tribal Chief was utterly horrified

The men’s Royal Rumble match came down to a brawl between two of the most prolific WWE Superstars at the time. Both CM Punk and Cody Rhodes had a clear objective and a clear champion to challenge if they won the Royal Rumble 2024. But, while Punk was back in a dream match after a decade, it was The American Nightmare who emerged victorious.

As soon as the music of Cody Rhodes flooded the stands of the WWE arena, a visible chill went down the spine of Roman Reigns. The absentee WWE champion looked utterly horrified at his win, and his face didn’t hide it. 

WWE uploaded the footage of Reigns’ petrified face on Instagram, as he seemed to have aged several years within seconds. The post carried the caption, “@romanreigns looks like he’s seen a ghost #RoyalRumble.” Trying to exert his authority, Reigns commented on the post and said, “Delete this. @wwe.” While he didn’t see any ghosts, he will soon face The American Nightmare at the 40th edition of WrestleMania.

Notably, the WWE Universe has already forgotten when the absentee champion won a match on his own. But, despite having Solo Sikoa at his side, the look on Reigns’ face showed that he knows he’s in trouble.
