Kurt Angle revealed he was not a ‘Gimmick Guy’ as he hated weapons and never wanted them to be used on him. Angle added-I’m not a gimmick guy… Don’t want to be a gimmick guy.. Never used gimmicks. I didn’t want them used on me.”

But the former world champion also added that he would never turn down a gimmick match if he had to do one. He further added that ECW was not going to be any different from the other two brands of WWE when compared to the intensity of gimmick matches.

Angle said- “I might have wrestled some dangerous wrestlers but for the most part.. I knew that I would have to take a chair shot here and a kendo stick there. There are a lot of gimmicks in ECW and you know you have to be willing to take something, but it’s not going to be any worse than it would have been in RAW or Smackdown.”

Kurt revealed he hit his head on the concrete floor when he was smashed through the announcer’s table during the match. Angle also added that he would happily go through a regular table than fall on a ladder due to the stiffness of the latter one. The former world champion chose a Kendo stick instead of a chair shot as he remembered a chair shot from Brock Lesnar broke his neck.
